I hesitated to buy one of these because I didn't want to add more bulk to my walking pad (which is in our living room right now), but I'm so glad I did. I bought a standalone incline walking pad about two months ago, and each time I used it, even though I was very careful and had a dining room chair positioned to the side, I had visions of what would happen if I dropped the on/off/speed remote on the floor. There is no emergency shut-off on my pad, and I walk rather fast at the highest incline. My only option would have been to hold on tight, jump off, and pray for the best. This support makes me feel so much safer while walking at fast speeds. Depending on your size, you can put all your weight on it and hop your feet to the sides of your walking pad while it is still running, assuming there is a sturdy side rim that fits your feet. I wouldn't make a habit of it, but that could be your emergency dismount if needed. Similar to what you might do on a gym treadmill. Also, I'm using the phone mount as my remote mount, so it can't fall to the floor. The cost is definitely worth saving yourself from an ER visit for a concussion. In retrospect, I should have bought a walking pad with a built-in support. This unit is sturdy, easy to put together, and fits a variety of walking pad widths. I recommend placing the longer side of the foot toward the front of the walking pad. If you are going to put your weight on it, the longer side pointing forward is more stable than the shorter side. Also, you can lay it on the floor with the feet sticking up while it's not in use. The only brief problem I had was inserting the poles into one another. There is a rubber cap at the end of one set of poles, and it takes a bit of elbow grease to get the pole past it. However, once you do, it's smooth sailing. Even though you think it might not come together, it will with enough force.
This is easy to assemble, sturdy, and a real support for the walking pad. It makes it possible for someone of questionable steadiness to walk on the device without mishaps.
It is compatible with my belt. Phone holder is strong and expandable enough for my iPhone 16plus and my iPod air. Light in weight and sturdy for use, and just the right size for me (5ft tall)..the bar reaches my upper abdomen at its highest; adjustability is optimal. The base can be turned inward making compact for storage.
I purchased a walking pad, however at 56 my balance is not the greatest. This bar is perfect and I'm able to starting walking again inside when I'm not feeling like walking outside.
My aunt loved it. Works great with her treadmill. Easy to assemble. Seems like a decent value.
