Small parts

This is a pack of 44 small pieces, and packs like it end up on tables where children are. The federal small parts rule applies to articles intended for use by children under three, and it is decided by a physical test: an article fails if it fits entirely inside the test cylinder in any orientation, with detachable parts tested separately.

Articles made of paper and writing materials such as crayons, chalk, pencils and pens are on the rule's exemption list. An exemption means that test does not apply, not that a piece is safe for a small child.

The legal labelling is on the packaging that arrives with the pack. Read it before the pieces go anywhere near a small child.
