60 Piece Pin Keepers Locking Clasp Pin Back Replacement, Silver

I picked these up to use with my Disney Pin Trading pins. I wanted to put them on my bag but needed shorter locking backs than the ones that Disney sells in the pin shops. I gave these 4 stars and I’ll explain why below.Pro:- Shorter back allows it to fit in smaller areas.- Screw seems to hold tight.- For Disney pins, these are 1/5th the price of the backs sold at the park.Con:- The shorter back allowed for the pin to stick out on some my pins. I couldn’t push it as far down as I wanted. It locks to the pin shaft tightly, but it allowed for a little wiggle room with the pin on my bag strap.- You have to assemble these. That is dumb. They come with the screw not inserted so you have to waste time doing that. Minor gripe but annoying.- The Allen wrench is poor at best. It strips easily. These came little zipper packs of 10 or so and each had an Allen wrench so you have backups.- First bag I opened was missing a screw. This is due to them sending them without the screws installed. I don’t know if this is intentional or not but I now have a wasted lock with no screw.All in all I think these are good for what they are. They are a good supplement to use with the more expensive locking backs or if you need slimmer backs to fight in tighter spaces. I used these on my tactical bag to attach to the individual straps. They allow for a better fit in that tight space. I also used them for the pins that had 2 shafts so I didn’t have to use 2 of the expensive Disney locks on them. I can use one good lock and one of these. Worst case scenario this one fails and the pin is still on there.

Must have for hat pins and any other pins worn. High strength lock and prevents the loss of important pins.

Work great and easy to use. Don't pay the ridiculous price at H.D. These are heavy duty and hold great.

I grabbed these to keep pin insignia on Girl Scout uniforms for my kids, age 9 & 5. They’re awesome and I’m so glad I’ve found them!They are a bit fiddly to get the set screw in the pin back, but loose enough to slide over the pin itself. Do measure your pins carefully and choose the right size. When in doubt, order the wider locking backs. I measured the length of our pin backs before ordering, but I expected that the uniform material would be thicker than it was. As a result, the pointy part of the pin sticks through the locking back. However, I was able to lock the pin back in so that the point is not exposed all. Unfortunately, this made the pins loose enough that they would spin around and wind up all crooked or upside down. I already had some rubber pin backs, so I was able to trim those with an exacto knife and use them like a washer between the uniform and the locking pin backs. Now the point is covered AND the insignia are snug enough to stay right side up.The pins are SUPER-secure. My older kiddo wore her vest through about 6 hours of carnival rides and all sorts of other fall fair activities and her pins didn’t budge. They ROCK! Get these and never have to replace a membership pin & disc again.I’ve shared the link with all the other parents in our troop, and I’ve got plenty to get us through scouts without loosing hard-earned awards or pins. If you have any sort of scouts or other uniform that has insignia pins, you NEED these in your life.

They are great for keeping my pins on my motorcycle vests and jackets.

1000000/10 would buy again!! These have saved my pins from being stolen by people! I go to school 24/7 considering I’m in HS. I always worry about my pins falling and being stolen until I found out about these. They fit nearly perfectly with all my pins. The quality is amazing considering if you tighten it good enough it’s literally anti theft. I literally could lift my bag up that’s filled with folders and binders with these pin backers.
